Our Story

2050 is a landmark year.

Halfway through the 21st century, many young people alive today will still be living with the outcomes of the decisions we make now.

Environmental impacts could be acute on a number of metrics, and we are likely to have passed the 2 degree global warming threshold widely believed to be the ‘less dangerous’ limit that the planet can support.

Young people around the world are told that their futures are uncertain and under threat.

BUT..

We at 2050 believe that we can make a future that is exciting, not depressing.

We can work together now and apply real understanding of human behaviour and systems, as well as environmental science, to create successful interventions and build an exciting future that works for us
